Eurostep

Nate Harold arrived at ambient and electronic music during a pivotal moment in his musical career. Best known for his work with the Grammy award winning band FUN., his electronic work was first created for a specific utilitarian purpose.  Having spent a majority of the last 15 years on tour, he discovered that making his own ambient music became a pleasant remedy for travel fatigue. “I had basically worn out Music for Airports and the Disintegration Loops so I started to record my own ambient music for long travel days.”

In 2017 Nate married his Swedish girlfriend and began turning down tours and dove deeper in to the gentler side of electronic music. Working with hardware synths and samplers became his new therapeutic remedy for the toll touring had taken on him over the years. “I was always in charge of the MPC’s that FUN. used onstage and that sparked an interest in hardware which eventually led to modulars and modern samplers.”

Eurostep is the result of his newfound peaceful life in Stockholm. “Staying in one place with my wife and dog has completely changed me. I wake up every day excited to experiment in the studio and I’ve never felt healthier mentally.” The album will be released on April 3 2020 on Aarco Records and is available on all streaming services here
